Music Program

The Church has a strong music program, based around our fully restored 1928 Fincham organ.  Visiting choristers and musicians regularly perform, and the Church features religious and secular concerts throughout the year.

Choral Eucharists

A Sung Eucharist is offered every Sunday at 9.30 a.m., and on the first and third Sundays this features the St Silas Consort of trained choristers who enhance the worship.

The Parish Organ

The Parish's Fincham organ was built in 1927, and its magnificent wooden case was built in the same year for a similar Fincham organ. In what was, for this Parish, an ambitious project, both the organ and the case were acquired from separate locations in 2006, fully restored, matched and installed, at a cost in excess of $100,000 in largely borrowed funds. Active fundraising events and  generous support from tax-deductible contributions of parishioners and others through the Meblourne Anglican Cultural Organisation, have significantly reduced the loan, and the organ, and music program which has been thus enabled. have become a feature of our Church.

Taizé Services

A meditative service in the Taizé (tay-zay) tradition is conducted on the first Sunday of the month at 7.00 p.m. It features the Taizé melodious chants and is a rewarding contemplative experience. The Service is of half an hour's duration.

Evensong

The much-loved Anglican traditional evensong service is alive and well at St Silas' on the third Sunday of the month at 7.00 p.m.
